Kiara and Kovu talking Plush by dapumakat Kiara and Kovu talking Plush by dapumakat
The Lion King II - Simba's Pride
Interactive Talk 'n Sing Kiara and Kovu

These Kiara and Kovu plush, were sold as a pair as shown or sold separately back when Simba's Pride was released back in 1998. You can play with Kiara and Kovu individually or in interactive mode where they will sing and talk to each other, communicating via infrared lights and sensors. Kiara and Kovu mouths move when talking and they know more then 50 phrases. You turn them on with a button on their paw or ear.

Both Kiara and Kovu are 16" long excluding tail and 11" tall. Thier tails are 8" long.

* There is also a version of these plush that speaks french. I am not sure in any versions were made that speak any other languages???

Made by Thinkway Toys from Canada.

Yes they come packaged with a wire connecting them when they are in the box. The cord however is for demo more when trying them in store as they are not of course facing one another in the box. One you take them out of the box though you are supposed to discard the cord. They communicate with one another wirelessly via infrared light and sensors.

If you ever decide to sell her, let me know. I would love to buy her from you. I would be willing to pay you a fair price. I love collecting plushies that speak other languages. Besides these ones are fun to watch communicating with one another, when one speak one language and the other speaks a different language.

I don't want to sell it because I always wanted it when I was a child. And I finally found it after long search. If I ever find another one I will contact you and sell it to you ^^

I posted comment to let people know there are some that I seen on ebay... As People stated they would like them. The ones I posted are at a flat buy it now price not an auction and less shipping, and offer worldwide shipping. It was an alert, If I was selling a set I would of said I was selling some and tried selling without a middle man.

Listed because people said they would like them...
59.99 buy it now, with worldwide shipping.one of the others list does not offer that and the other is 79.99 with 30.00. If I was selling some I would try to sell without a middleman and offer them up for sale to anyone who wanted to buy them. It was an ALERT!

When I was little I had the talking Kiara plush and it spoke in my language, which is Danish. I did not have the Kovu plush but I am certain that it spoke in Danish as well :) I am pretty sure that I still have it I just don't know where it is :P Anyways it is nice to see it again and it brings back a lot of good memories :D
