Huge Adult Simba plush from UK by dapumakat Huge Adult Simba plush from UK by dapumakat
I need another Simba like I need another hole in my head :) I already have two of these, somehow I could not pass up the chance for another.

I just picked up this Simba yesterday from the airport. I thought I would snap a quick pic before I unloaded him from my truck and brought him into his new home. I have since given him a good bath and now he looks as good as new.

This Simba plush is from the UK. He was used to promote the DVD re-release there back in 2003. He weighs in at over 100 lbs, stands over five feet tall. He is soft stuffed but does have a strong steel tubular frame inside him to hold him up. This Simba was made by Douglas Cuddle Toys.

Wow! Another one? :P I herd a friend of mine in O-town FLA lost his last March due to a tornado. :( The storage unit where the huge Simba was got completely destroyed.

I got a bigger plush than this. A sitting Tigger.

Thanks for the offer! But sadly my money is not in the right place at the moment and I still live at home and if I came home with a five foot Simba my parents would kill me medieval style!

Again thank you for the offer! I hope you sell him to a good home! :-)

60? More like 600 at my Walmart? We have no shop like Walmart in the UK. The only shops I can think that I kinda like walmarts are Tesco Extras, and they are still small compared with Walmart.

They were never for sale in Walmart. They were however used in the UK in some Asda stores to promote the Lion King. They were never offered for sale there though. These were made strictly for promotional use. Most were destroyed after they were used, although some Asda's did give them to local charities, of which some of them raffled them off. You could not just go and buy one.

LOL awesome... Wish I had that kindof money, I love TLK though I'm a bigger Sarabi fan... Wish they made big ol Sarabi plushies but she wasn't a 'big' character... *sighs*

I like Sarabi a lot too. I do not know why Disney does not market the other characters well. Even Adult Simba is often ignored. Most of the half decent adult Simba plush were made for promotional use and were not for sale to the general public. Disney seems to want to push heavily cub Simba and Nala and that is about it. I am quite surprised at the lack of TLK merchandise for the re-release. Some so so quality plushies at the Disney Store, and crappier stuff at WalMart. They had a big Mufasa that was not too bad at the Disney Store, but they sold out of them online within a week or so, and they never bothered to get anymore. It is like Disney does not understand its fan base at all, and all they do now is market most of their Lion King toys to toddler aged children. When the Lion King is a film that appeals to people of all ages.

Agreed... there are soooooo many fans out there they could make a fortune if they went more into depth about the lionking kingdom... focusing on other characters than simba and nala... They coudl easily do a 'prequel' of taka/mufasa/sarabi ect... but they are to lazy to do that. They also are horrid on merchandizing urg i just don't get disney at all

If it was a promo for a movie I'm guessing it's VERY rare and easily cost thousands just to get it and get it here..
