1995 Musical Mufasa and Simba by dapumakat 1995 Musical Mufasa and Simba by dapumakat
Le Roi Lion "The Lion King"
Conteur d'Histoires Musicales "Musical Storyteller"
Made by: Kid'M of St Denis la Plaine, France
Model# 600102

This is large Mufasa and Simba figure is from France. You can make him play different stuff by changing the interchangable chips in his belly. Each chip contains around 4 minutes of audio. You turn Mufasa on and off by turning his tail, he also has a volume control on his belly. Mufasa is 13" long, 6" tall and 5" wide.

This toy was made by Kid'M of France back around 1995 and was sold on the European continent. It appears this company is out of business now, as I can not find any information on them. This company also made a large musical cub Simba action figure, that is the only other Lion King toy that this company made. Both of these toys are quite rare and hard to find now.

Oh, I remember this and having to decide wich one of those two models to pick. I went with the Simba one. Too bad it got damaged quite a lot but I think I still have it somewhere up in the attic. Might dig it up and see if I can restorate it some. That'll involes recreating an ear with clay or something though.

Which song does this one play? The Simba one plays "Hakuna Matata"

Fun thing is, even though I live in Germany and got mine from a German store when they were released mine is singing in English.  Cannot remember it it was also in and English package or if the package was labeled in German, I was too young back then to really care either way.

This is an amazing figure!
Seeing as it was purchased from a French company, does the toy speak in French or in English? The detail in this figure is amazing, it really has the detail and personality of the characters in the movie! Amazing addition to your collection! May I ask where you got it?

I love this figure! I loved Mufasa so much in the first movie and i need to say: I must still cry when he got killed by the herd of wildebeest.. Actually at the movie's opening i start to cry. I am such a softy.. :D
